About Ord Valley Aboriginal Health Service

The Ord Valley Aboriginal Health Service (OVAHS) has been providing critical health and support services to local Aboriginal people since 1984. Our ambition is to deliver socially, culturally, and financially accessible health care that supports communities in the North-East Kimberley to be strong, healthy, and safe. The organisation operates on the foundational pillars of Aboriginal leadership, self-determination and cultural diversity that underpin and shape the way the organisation conducts its business.

We deliver services in culturally safe ways, bringing the best of medical and cultural expertise to achieve positive health outcomes. The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-performing, experienced Corporate Services Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the corporate functions of our organisation, including finance, human resources, assets, WHS, and administration. You will play a key role in ensuring our operations are efficient, sustainable, and aligned with our strategic goals. .

With a strong background in corporate services, you are adept at managing diverse teams and complex organisational functions. You are a problem-solver with a proactive approach and have a proven track record of delivering outcomes that drive organisational success.

You thrive in a dynamic environment and are skilled at navigating challenges with resilience and adaptability. Your communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust. You are committed to cultural safety and have a deep respect for Aboriginal culture, values, and ways of working.

As a leader, you are passionate about empowering and developing your team, creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture. You are motivated by continuous improvement and bring innovative ideas to streamline processes and enhance service delivery. You will have:

  • Possess a tertiary qualification in management and/or extensive equivalent management and administrative experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of finance including reporting
  • Strong knowledge of HR and industrial relations
  • A proven ability to foster strong relationships and work collaboratively in diverse communities
  • Results-focused approach with the ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve short and long-term performance
  • Strong financial management skills, including analysis, budgeting, cost control and expenditure monitoring, and
  • Experience working with and for Aboriginal people, and respecting Aboriginal culture, community, and country.

Tertiary or other qualifications in finance, like a Bachelor’s in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or Business majoring in Accounting, will be highly regarded.

This role comes with an  attractive base salary of $118,000 - $125,000 (commensurate with qualifications and experience) plus super and a range of great benefits, including:
